Two Marysville teens arrested for murder of 87 year old woman

The Yuba County Sheriff’s department placed two teenage residents of Marysville, California under arrest on suspicion of killing an 87-year-old woman, Arlyne Koehler, in Pocatello, Idaho around 2 pm on March 19th.

Those placed under arrest were Dustin Alfaro, 18, and a 17-year-old whose name has not been released during a deputy constructed traffic stop by the intersection of Olivehurst and 8th Avenue, in Olivehurst.

Initial suspicion arose when deputies found a vehicle that was believed to be tied to another crime in Linda.

The 17-year-old was taken to juvenile hall, and Alfaro was booked into Yuba County Jail on a bail of $1 million.

The killing is under current investigation from the Pocatello Police Department’s and Yuba County Sheriff’s Department.
