Just after 9 am on Saturday morning, police arrested three men on various charges which included possession of methamphetamine and heroin during a traffic stop.
Police pulled over a blue Chevy Caprice without a front license plate near Bille Rd. when they realized it had not been registered since 2016.
In the driver’s seat, was 46-year-old Patrick Contreras, who was driving on a suspended license after a previous DUI.
Contreras was also on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for an auto theft charge.
Contreras was cited on scene for violating the terms of his PRCS and was released on scene.
Joseph Riley, 18, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of a meth pipe and methamphetamine. He was arrested for possession of narcotics paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Robert Sweet, 33, another passenger in the blue Chevy Caprice, was arrested for outstanding warrants of felony assault and burglary. Sweet was found to have heroin in this underwear and was arrested for possession of narcotics and previous warrants.
Robert Sweet and Joseph Riley were both booked into Butte County Jail.
